I’m Seattle Dave.
I live here. I don’t just visit Seattle to write a few reviews and leave; I am out in this city every week. I’m at the Kraken and Mariners games, I’m seeing shows at the Paramount and the Tractor Tavern, and I’m eating my way through the pizza and sushi spots from Ballard to Capitol Hill.
My philosophy is simple: You deserve honest, first-hand advice.
Most travel websites are filled with generic descriptions written by people who have never set foot in the places they review. My guides are different. When I recommend a hotel, it’s because I’ve stayed there or walked its halls. When I suggest a brewery or a music venue, it’s because I’ve been there, had a pint, and watched a set.
Beyond Seattle
While Seattle is my home base, I bring the same level of obsession to my guides for the rest of the USA and Canada. Whether it’s finding the best hotel for a hockey game in Vancouver, the best outdoor pool in Las Vegas, or the most central stay in NYC, I look for the details that make a trip effortless and memorable.
Who am I? I am a traveler, a music lover, and a sports fan.
Music: I see a lot of live music. From stadium shows at Lumen Field to bluegrass nights at the Sunset Tavern, music is a huge part of my life and travels.
Sports: You’ll often find me (and my family) at NBA, NHL, MLB, and NFL games. I know the best hotels near the stadiums because that’s exactly what I look for when I travel.
Family: My wife and kids are my constant travel companions. They help me test everything – from hotel pools to walking distances – to ensure my advice works for families, couples, and solo travelers alike.
